Get Your Guide/Trip Adviser

I preferred Get Your Guide app due being easier to access my information on the guide I booked. With Trip adviser I realised because I did not have an account, some info I did not have access too about my booking, so before you book anything on trip adviser please make an account beforehand, I learnt the hard way!

From Granada: Alpujarra Villages Guided Day Tour: Get Your Guide

I have never been on a day tour without family or friends but I loved this tour. The guide was again brilliant, you’ll find this a theme on the tours I went on in Granada. Very knowledgeable and friendly, he was also always checking we could hear him and understood what he’d talked about since his accent was a bit thick and he was swapping between Spanish, English and a little French because there was a family from France, a couple from another area of Spain, an couple from the US and me from the UK. He didn’t speak much French but he tried, which was great. I also appreciated him checking that everyone understood him.

Granada: Sunset Walking Tour in Albaicín & Sacromonte: Get Your Guide

Once again amazing tour guide! She was very knowledgeable and had this friendly and passionate personality and could get very animated about what she was talking about. I do wish we stayed at some of the sites a bit longer but she was still great and the views were still amazing!

Now this tour was the only outlier in the group. Maybe because I had such an amazing tour guide last time I came to the Alhambra four years ago I judged him differently. However compared to my previous Alhambra tour guide and in fact my other tour guides in my other activities, he seemed a little more distant and less passionate with what he was talking about and he also started the tour very abruptly as well, with no smile, just this “let’s get this over with” expression but he did get more chatty and smile more as the tour went on, it was also less personal than the other tours as well but I suppose that could be because of the bigger group size? The views of Alhambra were still amazing though so I’ll still give it a high score as I still enjoyed my overall experience and he was still knowledgeable but he just didn’t seem to go as it depth as my last Alhambra tour guide.
My last guided tour was much better though in a smaller group so I do recommend going with a small group. Also warning this tour does NOT do the Nasrid Palaces so please look for another tour that includes them.

Granada: Walking Food Tour: Get Your Guide.

And we are back with the tours being an amazing! Our tour guide was brilliant as was the food! We had lots of small plates of food in different places and she recommended us other places to visit, as well as giving us a map and writing down the places she recommended. She was incredibly knowledgeable and very friendly, it felt like I could ask her anything. The food was brilliant and I especially loved the food that has this type of honey on them, I think it was sugar cane honey and I even brought some of that honey myself! The tour guide even showed us where to go to buy it as well as other interesting spices that you could burn to create wonderful scents.

Granada: Off-road Segway Tour: Trip Adviser

My final tour! Really amazing! My only concern was having to fill out this safety form that I hadn’t needed to fill out on the other Segway tour. I’m not sure if it was because the companies providers were different or the Off-road Segway tour was just considered more dangerous but I it was very bumpy and we did go near some cliff edges however I did feel perfectly safe! The tour guide was great and he had this relaxing calm demeanour to him. Absolutely fantastic views as well! Apart from the safety form, I was a little concerned that the tour guide kept on losing a part of his glasses. I’ll rate it down just for that as I just felt really he shouldn’t be with glasses, that a part of it kept on falling off, then we would have to go on a hunt for in the tour. But it didn’t bother me too much.
