Sit back and relax!

To my relief, my tutor was very friendly and happy to help. I think she also appreciated that I knew what aspects of Spanish I wanted to focus on. She introduced herself first, and let’s call her Isabel. I did however have a little embarrassing moment when she put some sheets of learning paper in front of me, then said a couple of things in Spanish that I had no clue what she was saying.
“So, that is too high level for you, okay, let’s try…” She then started to say, rummaging in her bag for more material after I had tried but failed to answer whatever she had said, my monster sniggered, but I ignored it, thankfully it did help that she didn’t seem upset or annoyed, unlike my driving instructors, I know this is an odd comparison, but they’re the only ever individual instructors I’ve had, so bare with me!
Instead, she just smiled a little sympathetically and got out some different papers and I quickly relaxed more when I recognised the words on the paper and our lesson was mainly going through the words and making sure I understood them and what I remembered from what I’d been studying back home and what I didn’t.
It was a lot more relaxed than I’d be expecting, and my beating heart had calmed down by the end of it.
It was time for the next lesson and I would soon learn however this lesson and my next lesson would lull me into a false sense of security…
Find out in my next chapter!
(If you wonder why these are so short, I usually enjoy reading short blogs, mainly because I don’t have much time on my hands, I know a lot of people are similar to me, so my chapters are written for people who want to quickly read)
