Suffolk Holiday 2023: Day Six

Once again! I’ve been way too busy again today! But I know for definite I am free in the morning tomorrow so I will do the grammar for all of my blogs then!

9:47 Morning! Back in my cottage in Suffolk, and I’ve got a boat ride today that I’m excited about!

11:03 We’re at the boat location, it’s the same location we went to the food festival, no food festival on right now though!

Very pretty.

11:12 It’s a cute place!

Little statues dotted around the garden area

11:17 This is our boat! Ready for the ride ☺️

I was excited to start the day with a boat ridemade me feel like a kid, ha

12:01 We have almost finished the boat ride, it was pretty but not much to say! Merlin seems to have finally woken up more and is very interested in the water below!

Always loved being on boats. It just feels so calming.

This is the inside of our boat.

Merlin hadn’t done anything like this before, so he was very worried! 🥹

I think this is a pretty shot with the boat 😊

We were mainly there to bird watch, but I was more interested in the scenery.

Near the end of the boat trip, Merlin started to become more confident and was fascinated by the moving water at the back!

He looks very windswept here! ❤️
We’ve almost ended the boat trip! I see land ahead! 😀

12:08 On dry land! Now to find somewhere to eat with the dog!

12:31 We found a pub, they have quite a lot of gluten-free options, but unfortunately I can’t have garlic as I am intolerant to that as well which made my options a lot smaller 😭

This is the pub we had lunch in!
Merlin trying his best puppy eyes for us to give him some food, it didn’t work! 😂

12:49 Fish and chips again it seems, but looks nice! Apart from the mushy peas!

If you read my previous blog, you know I had fish and chips (well, fish fingers and chips) last night, but I promise I don’t eat this all the time! It was really tasty! This was gluten-free battered fish 😋

14:17 Had a little look around and now just waiting for my parents to come out of this garden place, unfortunately it seems dogs are not-

I had a look at this gallery, and it was pretty, but unfortunately I wasn’t aloud to video it or take photos!
A cute craft shop we went into!
I always find these types of stones interesting!
Some very interesting sculptures! I have no idea what they are meant to be about!
I think both of these pictures of the sculptures are pretty cool?
I went on a small walk with Merlin while I waited for my parents to be done!
This, I thought was pretty cool because you can sign up to add your or someone else’s name on it 😊

14:20 Never mind, they just called me, so not sure what we are doing now!

14:37 Waiting for my parents to come out, a cute looking antique store. We decided to go to Orford Quay! Looks cute from the pictures!

Outside the antique store. It said well-behaved dogs were allowed, but we decided we did not trust Merlin in an antique store, so he stayed outside with me 🤣
Leaving Snape Malting’s, that’s where we were, and it was fun!

15:08 We have just arrived at our location ☺️

A pretty nice looking calved out stone!

15:10 Mmmm, this doesn’t seem as big as I expected.

I was kind of expecting a small seaside town with lots of shops and cafés, there was hardly anything here.

This basically was it, apart for one tea and coffee place we went too, which was one of the wooden huts in this picture.

15:28 We are in a tea and coffee place. I decided to get a mint choc chip ice cream and a hot chocolate, strange combination I know 😅

They didn’t have any gluten-free cakes, so I decided to have this ice cream instead.
The hot chocolate was nice!

15:58 We are off to Orford Castle!

16:36 I’m in the castle right now! It has more areas to look around than I thought! I’ve been up top and it has a nice view! I’m listening to a guide talking to this elderly couple, and apparently it was attacked only once. I think by the French?

Orford Castle
It was actually bigger than I expected inside!
Just some information on the room below!
The prison cell definitely gave me the creeps!

I went to the top of the castle, and I am glad I did! The steps were a little daunting because it was very steep! But I think it was worth it!

The views were fantastic! They did have bars that blocked the view a little, but I was able to get past that with my phone.

Some more information on the room below if you are interested?

Such interesting artefacts! I love imaging them actually being used hundreds and hundreds of years ago!

More information about the picture above us.

16:42 I’ve finished, might get myself something at the gift shop depending on how expensive it is! And I’ll find my own way back to the car, since my parents left early

Heading back to the car and looking at a great view!

Entry to the Orford Castle! £8.50 for one adult!
Really cool cannons in the car park! Odd place to put a cannon though 🤣

19:34 Back at my cottage! About to have my dinner! Yum! This is taking longer than I thought, so I might have to not do the grammar again today! But I am not doing anything in the morning tomorrow, so I should be able to do all the grammar then!

I got these gluten-free sausages (that also don’t have garlic in it) At that food festival, a previous blog on this holiday. It was delicious!

22:22 Photographs are now added! All I need to do is do the comments, then I’ll do all the grammar on all my blogs I haven’t done tomorrow! And I’ll actually look at other people’s blogs too and be more interactive. Sorry that I haven’t been! It’s just been so busy!

23:20 I’ve just finished adding the comments for the photographs, just in time! No daily prompt today again. I’m way too tired! Hope you all had a good day and I hope you enjoyed! Night! 🌙 ❤️

28th/13:52 Finally, finished this post grammar wise as well! Sorry this took a while to get too!
