I at first wasn’t sure how to answer this, I’m a more go with the flow kind of person (As long as it’s not to do with my own holiday then I want to plan as much as possible and look at the details)
So I looked at some other peoples prompts and that made me realise what I tend to not pay as much attention to as I should.
Finance.
As someone who still lives with my parents because I can not afford anywhere else to stay, but as someone who is lucky enough to have parents who have enough to support me, I don’t think I handle my finances as well as I should.
I’m very aware that I will need to move out at some point, once I get a full time job in a job I want, either in a museum, art gallery, anything to do with traveling (I heard that if I work for an airport I can get travel benefits, which will help me a lot to travel more as that’s my main goal) I will start looking for a place. One of my friends is interested in moving to london next year and asked for me and some of her other friends to join her. I’m hoping that works out but we all need enough money first before that happens!
So I should be paying more attention to what I spend money on but I find myself having little self control and buying food for lunch, instead of taking a pack lunch and not to buy snacks, or sign up to peoples Patreons, it adds up!
I got good at it last month, but it seems I’ve slipped back into my old habits after I got back from my holiday (If you want to have a look at my travel posts about my recent holiday, click here!)
That’s said I’m not using up all of my savings or anything like that, I haven’t gone that far thankfully! But I am saving less money that I hoped due to me not paying as much attention as I should do and this has happened to me on and off.
I have made a promise to myself to go back to looking after my money more tomorrow, so I can save more for traveling and so I can eventually move out but yeah, it’s very difficult not buying snacks or getting things for lunch at the cafes or just a food shop, that look like they’re going to taste so much better than my pack lunch!
