Sit back and relax!

The articles I looked at on my first day in Granada.
I stepped into the kitchen area and Sarah followed behind me.
The monster started to whisper things while Sarah was putting her bag down next to the kitchen table, its eyes staring up at me from the bag I’d managed to shove it into.
“Thinking of going out? Won’t that be fun? Getting lost, causing trouble for the locals, losing your keys, or you won’t even be able to get back in due to your key. Lost in an unfamiliar city in a completely different country”
“I’ll be fine” I hissed back.
But…
“But…?” It chuckled.
What if it was right?
I’d never walked around a city in an entirely different country by myself before…
No, just don’t think about it!
Before you even think about going out, you should study first, no point in thinking about it now!
That’s right, I told myself, what you are doing right now, should matter more.
“I’m just going to study in my bedroom, I’ll be back in a bit” I told Sarah, heading towards my bedroom.
I wished I could just ask Sarah to give me a quick tour or at least some recommendations on where to go, but the fact she hadn’t really said anything to me during the Spanish lesson made me feel like my mouth was sewn shut, and no words would come out.
“She clearly doesn’t like you, why bother her any more than you are?” My monster whispered up to me.
I pulled out some of my Spanish books and the Spanish papers I’d been given, then zipped my bag shut that it had somehow opened.
“Oi!” It yelped as I then through my bag across my room and I ignored as I rolled on to my bed.
I should really start going over what we’d looked at in my Spanish session, but despite my thoughts, I found myself using my phone to google tapas bars in Granada.
Where to go? And did I really have enough confidence to go out by myself? I took pictures of the tapas bars I liked the look of, to remind myself to try and visit them.
I was excited, but I couldn’t seem to escape my nerves.
Keys not working.
Getting lost…
My monster grinned.
