There are two people that stick out to me, there are many more however these are the first two people that I thought about.

I worked with both of them, they both are supervisors and it honestly surprised me at how confident they were and I definitely admired them for that.

Now you’re probably thinking yeah but they are supervisors, they are meant to be confident.

You’d be right there, however one of them was only twenty years old, the other in her early twenties.

One of them worked at a shop I covered and it was when I had somehow scheduled to go to work eleven days in a row and I was complaining about it but apparently as a part time worker, it was actually illegal for me to work that long without a day off.

She informed me of this and was like “Girl, I will talk to your manager for you and get you that day off, they can’t do that to you!”

She was very straight forward, confident and knew what she was doing.

I wish most supervisors had this attitude.

Then next time I checked my rota and I had a day off! So she must have phoned up and got it sorted for me. I was covering the shop and she was actually a supervisor that was a cover so she didn’t need to do that! Such a lovely person!

The other person, was a supervisor at my own shop. Within two weeks she faced of two incredibly aggressive a hostile people. I wasn’t there but I was told about it and was very impressed with her!

She is a new supervisor, only twenty year old but putting herself in-between an aggressive customer and another young new starter and stood her ground until they left.

The next person, was a thief, who they were warned about and couldn’t lock the door in time, she tried to close the door on him, but she is fairly small and he was like six foot something, so he forced his way through but she still stood in his way, arguing with him that he wasn’t aloud in while he was yelling at her, another new starter was calling the police.

Both times, the manager and/or the head supervisor, were absent.

Like I’m in my late twenties and I can’t imagine myself directly confronting an aggressive yelling six foot something man, unless someone I cared about was in danger or I knew him but this guy was a complete stranger!

The fact she was new at her job and only twenty, made me very impressed at her confidence to be able to do that!
