Live experience begins:

20:31 UK Time

As I am writing this I am on Singapore airlines. On the flight, ready to go! So far so good! Everything seems to be very smooth so far. 

It was quite easy to get to my gate but it was a bit of a long walk! The gate did open up much earlier than it said it would, so I always check the board or in my case I downloaded the heathrow app and I found my flight on it, then it notified me that my gate was opening which was very helpful! 

They’ve been handing out these hot small towels which I wasn’t sure what to do with but everyone else seemed to be wiping their face with it so I just followed their example. 

My throats started to hurt a bit, I hope this won’t cause any problems for me on this trip! 

I’m not really looking forward to how long this flight is going to be! 13 hours, so long! By myself too! I just hope I can get to sleep! Well I am going to try and follow New Zealand time schedule so it’s 8am over there so when it starts to get late I’ll take my rest then! And try and do most of my sleeping on my second flight! Catch you later!

My afterthoughts: My vacation started on the 21st of October, 2024. I had never flown for this long before so I was incredibly nervous. I think the beginning of my journey could have gone better. I’d annoyed my parents dropping me off because I’d dropped my tickets on the floor and I had assumed I would be having something to eat with my parents before I started my flight but they seemed to want to me go as soon as possible, which had caught me off guard, so I was feeling a little off balance when I went through the security.

Once I was past the security I spent a very long time walking around, wondering where I should go and eat. I was so tempted to eat at this noodle place despite the fact I’m gluten free but I decided to be good and eat at Pret instead, and I brought myself a gluten free cake.

I eventually saw that my gate had been opened and eventually I ended up on my plane. I was ready to start my journey, are you?
