Have you ever been Camping?

Yes, I have not been in many years though. When I was younger I used to go camping a lot with my family. I have fond memories of camping in my childhood.

I did used to hate it when it rained though, the ground was so muddy and I hated having to go to the public toilets out in the rain. I also hated the dark as a kid, I still don’t like it much now and having to go outside of the tent to the public toilets, in the night when I needed too was pretty terrifying.

However I did love the adventure, the different sceneries compared to my home town and usually we were in a camping area with a playground which I loved as a kid, so that was fun.

I do think camping was in fact when I started to notice as I got older getting handed more responsibility and thinking, this is what growing up is like and my parents used to tease one day I’d have to put up the tent without their help. I did think that would eventually become true but camping in general slowly decreased over the years and while I did enjoy it, it is a relic in the past to me.

Camping for me is seen as something linked to my childhood. I have fond memories and I do like the idea of perhaps doing it with some friends but its definitely not a priority.
