Love this question, I always enjoy talking about food, ha!
I think I’ll name a couple of things, so first there were these potatoes that were in the shape of a smily face, as a child I remember eating them a lot! I think someone else mentions them in a prompt too!
There was also breaded chicken in the shape of a dinosaur which was really common as well.
While I was at Primary School, 5-11 years old, I remember we used to be served this meat that was in this twirly shape, it was called a turkey twislers, I loved them. Unfortunately due to how unhealthy they were, they were eventually banned but I still think about them sometimes, ha.
Funny story, a popular chef, called Jaime Oliver actually was responsible for the ban and he went around making sure schools cooked healthier for children. I get it but at the same time, I did love those turkey twislers and I remember little me specifically asking a dinner lady, where have they gone? I was very upset, ha!
I also used to love these lollypops that you stick in sherbet, I see them now again and reminds me when I used to have them regularly as a child. They’re targeted strongly at children, which puts me off from buying them now and I also need to try and eat less sweet things, ha.
I’m sure there are others but can’t think of anymore, hope you all had a good day!
