Sit back and relax!

The class was over, quicker than I had expected. 

Time moves fast when you’re having fun, right? Or hearing your monster hissing in your ear when no one is paying attention and too busy chatting Spanish to each other. 

My dilemma, what was I going to do with myself after the lessons? Studying was a given, but what else? Of course, I wanted to explore, but alone…? 

That hadn’t been the plan. 

The both times I was on tour in Spain, I’d almost all the time had someone to go around with, we weren’t assigned or anything, it was just what you did when you got along! 

I glanced at Sarah, she’d barely looked at me since I got in this room, and I bet no one would know that we were roommates.  

Should I just ask her? But if she didn’t want to go around with me, even if it was just a quick tour, then I’d just embarrass myself by asking… 

The teacher said something in Spanish, standing up and everyone started to pack their bags, so the lesson, it seemed, had ended. 

I tried to think of the positives, sure I hadn’t understood them while they were chatting but hey, at least I could fill out the Spanish sheets of paper, that counted for something, right? I could learn that way and listen, of course. I was quite proud of myself for completing the questionnaires at least. 

I packed up my Spanish notes and back towards my room, once again marvelling at the fact that all I needed to do was go up quite a few floors, and I was there, it was a clever design to have a school classroom in the same building as the students rooms! 

I briefly wondered what Sarah was doing, as she hadn’t followed me. 

Well, no need to worry about her, first things first! I thought as I brought out my cool looking keys, the key to the building looked like it had come out of some fantasy history drama, anyway back on track, first things first! 

I need the toilet! 

The key wouldn’t fit in the lock. 

“Eh?!”
