Do you see yourself as a leader?

Do I see myself as a leader? No, not really. I can step into that role if need be. But I prefer to be led rather than the one doing the leading.

I find myself more comfortable when I know someone else is in charge.

That said I do enjoy leading in certain circumstances. I enjoy leading if it’s helping someone to learn something or if it’s something I am incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about I might want to be the leader.

However in normal circumstances, that usually isn’t the case. I do and will step up however if no one else does.

I feel like some people look down on each other, depending on if you prefer to be a leader or not but I don’t believe that’s right. There’s nothing wrong with wanting either but what is wrong I think, is when you have too much of something, that you forget what it means to be an actual leader or follow more.

I feel some people can take “leading” to far and don’t take others opinions into account while someone doing the opposite sometimes can follow someone else so much, they they don’t think, is this truly what I want for myself? And that can lead to unhappiness and exhaustion if they are asked to do too much.

I think it’s fine to lean one way or the other, as long as it isn’t extreme or it can make you and other people around you unhappy.
