To be honest it depends a lot on what I am actually doing! It only makes me feel fulfilled if the end goal in my opinion is worth it.
If the end goal isn’t worth it or something I was working towards fails then that doesn’t make me feel fulfilled at all and I feel rather defeated.
If, of course I see the goal I worked towards as successful then I feel very fulfilled! Sometimes it’s a personal goal, for example joining this cafeteria agency for me was personal because I wanted to prove too myself I could do it.
I had never truly had a catering job before and even if it wouldn’t help with what I want to do in the long term, I wanted the extra money to put aside for traveling but also prove to myself I could handle a job like that in a face paced environment.
Sometimes it’s a small goal others have set for me, tasks at work for example and I feel fulfilled when or if I successfully complete the task and the supervisor or manager acknowledges this.
Also in day to day life, it’s just to help someone else out and if they acknowledge or show they appreciate the help, then that also makes me feel fulfilled.
I do feel a bit annoyed if my help isn’t acknowledged in anyway though.
Maybe I should not expect that from someone and just help someone else without that expectation in the end? But I guess I’m not that type of person and if I worked REALLY hard to help someone in something, then it’s difficult for me bot to be annoyed if the other person doesn’t acknowledge that help in anyway, you know?
I probably won’t voice or show my annoyance though, I always stay away from conflict as much as possible 😅
So yes, the end result is what matters most to me, so if I got what I wanted out of my hard work, that’s what makes me feel fulfilled.
