Questions about travel? Hell yes!
So I would automatically say no to car or bike. Bike because I haven’t rode a bike in years and last time I tried I was super wobbly, so traveling cross country? Hell no!
While car? Only if someone else is driving (I’d feel bad for the driver) because I can’t actually drive, I did a lot of driving lessons and two driving tests, failed both times and decided that my driving lessons were just making me way to anxious so I gave it up.
Didn’t help that my last driver instructor was a bit crazy and liked to pretend he was two different people and would question me on my religious beliefs while I was driving.
He’d question me on these deep questions and like somehow expect me to defend my “atheist side of things” But hey I’m watching the road here, you expect me to go into a deep dive about it?! While I’m panicking about not going into a curb or other cars on the road?
He’d also get very frustrated with me when I did mistakes as well and it got to a point where I to actually ask him to tone it down and not put so much pressure on me.
He then had the nerve to turn around and say something like “This is a good thing, I was seeing how far I could push you before you told me to stop, its good you stood your ground”
Like huh?? You’re my driving instructor, not some sort of behaviour analyst or something!
Anyway sorry, this got on to a rant about my previous driver instructor, I’ll stop now ha.
Luckily we have good public transportation so I never needed to drive.
While it honestly depends of the situation on whether I’d use the bus, airplane or train, I think overall I prefer a train but since I’m from an island, its easier to take an airplane usually. Unless I’m doing a cross country trip, within the UK, like England to Wales or something like that then I’d probably take a train. While a bus would be cheaper, not only would it likely mean more bus changes but it be just so slow compared to a train. I’m also usually more comfortable on a train. 🙂
