I thought of two encounters so I’ll talk about those! They were fairly recent two.
And they were quite similar.
One of them I tripped down some stairs while I was walking home from work. I had turned to tell a guy on the streets that I hadn’t got any change on me. Then I missed a step and I fell, luckily I fell on to my bum 😅 but it still hurt a lot and I scraped by elbows quite badly.
The same guy, with no hesitation, rushed to see if I was okay. I was surprised by his kindness. I assured him I was fine. If I hadn’t been trying to catch a train I would have tried to think up a better way to say my thanks.
I thought perhaps I would see him there the next day and thank him for his kindness properly but he wasn’t and I don’t think I saw him again.
The second time it was a similar situation, I was heading home from work, a catering job and I tripped up again, yes I know I am clumsy!
I tripped up on the slightly higher train floor, while stepping on to the train, my shoes just caught the side and I almost fell flat on my face and I just managed to catch myself with my hands.
It was quite a hard fall and my arms to my surprise ached a lot afterwards from catching myself, not sure if it just means I’m not fit or it’s normal for your arms to yell out in pain, what the hell! When they suddenly support your body weight.
Anyway after I fell, a elderly lady rushed over to me and helped pull me up. There was hardly anyone on the train and so I was surprised by her kindness and I thanked her tremendously.
It was such a sweet and kind gesture and I was terrible tired at the time, I actually welled up a bit.
Usually in my area someone will wait to see if you can get up by yourself if it’s only a fall, and your not vulnerable in some way, so for her to rush over without hesitation was so kind.
But yes they both were lovely people, thank you to the kind strangers once again though they probably will never read this! ❤️
