New Zealand, Day Two

Hello, welcome to my Travel Blog.

I won’t be doing these every single day but I just felt the need to write today ❤

Live experience begins:

22nd October

Hello again! Its 4:23 local Singapore time and I should arrive at Singapore by 4:53 so I’m almost there! I barely got to sleep so feeling a bit strange ha, but I am hoping to go to sleep probably on my next flight. I am worried about catching my next flight though, I only have an hour, less than a hour to go to my next flight.  Originally it was two hours but it seems this flight was quite late!

My dinner for the flight, the sauce was really nice but the chicken was a bit chest and the beans were really hard!

I wanted time to have a look around Singapore airport, but I guess I won’t have anytime! If I can take a photo of the waterfall I heard about in the airport I will do that! It looked so pretty in pictures I’ve seen!

18:34

This flight feels a bit more chaotic! It took ages to get to my seat, a kids crying and wouldn’t get out of a couples ways who seemed to be arguing and then it took ages for them to find a place for them to put their suitcase 😅 A host was also chewing gum which also doesn’t look very professional. I was planning to sleep on this flight to try and match my time zone with NZ but not sure if I’ll get to sleep now 😅 hopefully things will get better as we fly!

Breakfast, I didn’t like the eggs much, they felt a bit rubbery? But the sausage, beans and mushrooms were nice.

20:45 So the chaos continues, babies crying and the gluten free meal I asked for didn’t go through, though I’m not upset about that since I do still eat gluten now and again but I was a bit miffed that the guy with the drinks just walked right past me while asking everyone else and even the couple next to me was like oh dear 😅 All I wanted was some water, now I just need to find someone to help me!

Live experience ended

Afterthoughts: So despite how long it was, my first flight was better then my second flight. My first flight was longer though and after I had finished watching some films I had wanted to watch, I was really unsure what to do with my spare time. It was just very dull. It was also just so strange to me that I was essentially staying a full day on planes, over 20 hours to be exact. It dragged so much, usefully my days go by quite fast but this definitely did not.

My second flight where I hoped to get some sleep, I unfortunately had picked a seat next to a family with a baby and a toddler, when the baby stopped screaming, the toddler started to cry and scream instead, which was not fun at all. I did still thankfully managed to get some sleep.

I was a tiny bit annoyed that the next flight couldn’t accommodate my gluten free food when I had put it down on their system while booking but apparently food preferences sometimes don’t carry over if you’re using a different airline from the one you started with, since I had two different airlines for my two different flights, they should really sort that out, but again since I only get a small stomach ache that does not last that long, I was fine with having gluten. I also knew I would likely be eating gluten food in New Zealand since I wasn’t going to miss out on eating food from another country.

I am very excited to talk about the next day, are you ready to step into New Zealand?

      1. Yes, it’s awesome! Felt like a safe haven between trips to and from Bangladesh, Indonesia, Vietnam (which were all great too). I love that they had these signs “No durians allowed”, it felt like a meme universe but the butterflies are gorgeous!

      2. Yes I remember those signs! I have been to Singapore before instead of just a change over, I went there for a couple of days with my family, it was so beautiful but I don’t think the airport had been redesigned then so I don’t remember the airport but I just loved the Singapore airport so much on this NZ trip. I haven’t been too any of those countries either, I hope you had a good time when you went 🙂 This trip was the first time I had to do a change over by myself, it was a little nerve wracking ha!
