New Zealand Day Four

Hello, welcome to my Travel Blog.

Live Experience Begins:

6:27 Morning! I have a fun day out tour booked for today! I was woken up late so I am rushing to get there in time!

7:54 Oh wow it’s been a struggle but it was sorted out in the end! So something went wrong with the tour providers system so it said that I had cancelled and I had to pay again! So I got in contact with the agency I booked the tour with and they assured me that my ticket was still active and nothing had gotten cancelled. So that means I have paid twice over for this tour, which I was upset about but thankfully the agency told me I would get a refund for the ticket I had to pay again for, so I’ll need to check that after the tour, hopefully I’ll get the refund!

9:23 Still on the bus there! It’s taking longer than I expected but the bus driver is nice and gives us a tour of the land as we drive past, the land scape is really beautiful, his accent is a bit hard to understand though, it’s quite thick, one thing I have noticed is that their clock on the coach is about one hour behind, strange! I second guessed myself at how long we had been on the coach when I noticed it.

12:45 I had a fantastic time in Hobbiton! We are heading to the shop before we leave. Right now as I am writing, I am on the coach. The shop and actual hobbiton are in different places so we are taking the coach back to the shop. I think I might buy something but not sure yet! We just arrived so I’ll talk about my experience later!

13:00 Just in their cafe right now! I might get something else, I already brought a key ring but I am surprised they actually have gluten free things! That’s so nice!

A lot of choice, unfortunately I couldn’t stay longer in the cafe.

Hobbington was beautiful

Afterthoughts:

I loved my visit to Hobbinton but if I could do it again I’d probably would have done it with a different company, since I got my ticket through Get Your Guide and the Hobbiton System didn’t recognise it and said it had been canceled, so I actually had to pay for my tour all over again, so that I could get on the bus, minutes before my tour started!

Thankfully Get Your Guide were still incredibly helpful, once I told them about it on the coach ride through their app, they gave me a a full refund, I was so relieved and grateful.

So I still only had one ticket paid for and not two. However just to minimise the stress of thinking I’d have to pay double the amount and the company that held the Hobbiton tours, denying that I’d got a ticket for their tour, despite me showing them my proof that it was still active, and thinking for a bit that I wouldn’t be able to go on the Tour that I’d been looking forward too, for almost over a year and I seriously almost cried (Before the company that Hobbiton tours, said I could go but I’d have to pay all over again, which I agreed too because I’d been looking forward to going so much) Yeah these ticket are better brought on the official website. That said again, Get Your Guide were still so helpful by refunding me. It took a week to get back to me but the money still did come back to me.

Anyway this was a really busy day for me, the Hobbiton was almost the whole day, it was brilliant, it felt like I had stepped into a dream! if you ever visit New Zealand and get the chance to visit Hobbiton, do it! I had brought an extra ticket to go to the buffet that they had there, the food was really tasty!

But that was not the end of my day, when I got back to Auckland, my tour with G adventures would officially start, our orientation in the hotel, where we had to move to the hotels restaurant, then the reception because it was so noisy, I felt for our tour guide! We all had dinner together, near the sea. We met everyone on our tour for the first time and getting to know each other, it would be a journey, none of us would ever forget! Are you ready to share more of this wonderful adventure with me? Onwards!
